Cake:
- 2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries chopped
Frosting:
- 1 cup unsalted butter softened
- 4 cups powdered sugar
- ½ cup strawberry puree
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare pans.
Whisk flour, baking powder, salt.
Beat butter and sugar till fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
Alternate adding flour and milk.
Fold in strawberries.
Bake 25–30 min. Cool completely.
Beat frosting ingredients till smooth.
Assemble cake with frosting between layers and on top.
